The very fact that our government and intelligence apparatus was convinced of terrorist connections that DO NOT EXIST and Chemical and nuclear programs that DO NOT EXIST indicates that we were not 'On the ball' in Iraq, did not know what was really going on.

You seem to be utterly convinced that the entire nation of Iraq contained absolutely no weapons of mass destruction or the capacity to make them. This, even though Iraq did have extensive proven quantities of both in the past and presented no credible evidence that they were destroyed. And the fact that the regime, under inspection, behaved exactly like they were hiding them. Remember, the U.N. resolution placed the burden of proof on Iraq, and Iraq failed to meet that miserably.

Maybe you should back down a bit from your certainty as well. I will be the first to admit that it is odd that we have not found any major programs, weapons, or hardware yet (except the trailers), assuming nothing drastic was done to conceal or destroy them before the war started. On the other hand, you and the others seem to be so fixated on the Evil Bush Grand Conspiracy Theory that you haven't really considered any of the other alternatives.

I like to think my mind is still open, at least a bit. Is yours?
