A good point...

Exaggerated features on a caricature of an individual do not have the same implications as they would if they were used to characterize a whole race or group of people. And ALL political cartoons wildly exaggerate the physical features of its famous subjects, regardless of politics. Most cartoons of Arafat give him a nose you would need a wheelbarrow to carry. And Bush's ears could have been used to land him on that carrier all by themselves.

There are limits to this of course. If Jesse Jackson's favorite food in the entire world was watermelon, and he ordered it everywhere he went, it would still be worth a cartoonist's career to picture him in the same frame with a watermelon.

Again, my take on it is that this cartoon was not drawn with bigoted intent. What I found annoying was the astonishment on the part of many that a racist interpretation was even possible, when far less obvious cartoons of this type have been pilloried by the Left (when the cartoon's subject is one of their consituent groups, and not on the Leftist shitlist like Israel is.)

Now, if you want real full-bore anti-Jewish cartoons, try Arabic newspapers.
