There is no doubt in my mind that Dick Cheney adores his daughter unconditionally, and even less doubt that she is an outstanding individual. Misguided only. I wish she were on our side.
AND, also, in addition, Dick Cheney's "compassion", tolerance, and acceptance does not extend past his family. He has no mercy for anyone who disagrees with him, is as vicious as he can get away with. The fact that he wishes his own daughter well signifies nothing.
When he advocates health insurance for every black child in the US, when he advocates for preventative health care for every citizen, when he promotes the availability of marriage, civil union or whatever they want for all homosexuals, I'll change my opinion of the man.
And I'd love to do that. But no one should try to tell me how Dick Cheney has confronted life and come out a more human and humane person. That person just looks and sounds silly.
