let's not equate this corrupt jerk Chirac with all of France or all Frenchmen.
As disgraceful as some of the actions of the current French government have been under Chirac, keep in mind that in relative terms this is just one brief episode in history. When considering the totality of the last 300 years, the assistance given by France to the American revolutionaries, the inspiration the American Revolution gave to French values of liberte, egalite, fraternite, the close relationship throughout most of the 20th century, and France's efforts to capture Al Queda terrorists, we should still feel good about American soldiers being buried on French soil. All in all, we share a lot more values with the French than we do with many other countries.
