These four headlines graced the front pages of the four local newspapers I routinely read:
How real was Iraq threat?
Defense intelligence could not pinpoint Iraqi banned weapons last fall
Ex-Official: Evidence Distorted for War
Intelligence before war didn't back U.S. claims
As the smoke clears from the field of battle it is becoming increasingly clear that WMD does NOT stand for "weapons of mass destruction," but rather "WORDS OF MASS DECEPTION." The American public and the world have been duped. They were led to believe in a threat that didn't actually exist.
I am reminded about the story of the little boy who cried "wolf."
In the meantime, another American soldier has died.
No matter how much the Bush sycophants here rail against the "liberals" for supposedly "hating America first," this story of Words of Mass Deception isn't going away any time soon.
