That's absurd. You may not be playing the partisan politics game, Don, but plenty of others are. Bush is riding pretty high on the opinion polls and several polls show most Americans believe liberating Iraq was the right thing to do even if no WMD are found. Democrats are doing everything possible to erode Bush's popularity. That's partisan politics.

Piss ant countries like France and Belgium will seek anything they can to discredit Bush and deflect attention from their tacit (or overt) support of Saddam. Any hint of a "scandal" on the Bush administration's part is seized upon by the Bush opponents, even if they have to lie about it like the Guardian did. I pay even less attention to them than I do to the Democrats.
