I'm a working engineer EP. You clearly are not an engineer or a scientist especially if you claim Barry's tactics of picking and choosing data constitute scientific reasoning. They are on a par with your jump topics tactic to avoid dealing with your mistakes such as the one above.
Again the comments were Nealson's not mine. Try dealing with that before jumping topics yet again. While no support was provided in Nealson's article there is plenty of support in the report he sited. That's why he sited it although this may be beyond your limited understanding of scientific debate. Having a minor in microbial physiology, I also know a good bit more supportive information than sited in that report. It does not surprise me that you are totally unaware of the scientific data supporting those conclusions nor that you did not bother to follow the easy link to educate yourself.
As for the Pathfinder data you commented on I have no idea what you are talking about. Barry speaks endlessly of Viking not Pathfinder. I don't read everything Barry posts because so much of it is obviously incosistent, contradictory, and often highly misleadingly out of context.
Regards,
Mark
