I take it that the helmets on these actually possess a positive safety value?
Why dark blue on the color? I realize it's probably for contrast but in reality, not as much blue light will be available on the Martian surface. Something utilizing both the maximum sensitivity of the eye and the availible intensity spectrum would be optimised more around the green-yellow of the new construction visibility vests.
On a more practical Earthbound note, those dark suits in the direct sunlight may get a bit warm, a lighter color wouldn't have that liability.
