"that [SOME OF] the same prople that opposed the Iraq war are screaming for us to go into Liberia? Bush has shown some [POSSIBLY TRUTHFUL AND POSSIBLY STAGED] reluctance to do the Liberia thing but he is under heavy pressure from [SOME MEMBERS OF] the UN and EU to send peacekeepers. [AND IS CONCIDERING DOING SO POSSIBLY FOR THE PRIMARY REASON OF DIVERTING THE PUBLIC EYE FROM THE FAILURE TO FIND ANY TERRORISTS, WMDS, OFOs ETC ] If you understand that, I give you A+ for consistency."
Then give me an A, If you accept the above[] edits.
"You are blinded by your dislike of Bush. If it were conceded that the choices are lying or incompetence, the call would have to be incompetence at this point and incompetence of even greater levels by J.Carter and others through history were not punished by impeachment."
No, I supported Bush strongly through the first many months of the Afghanistan affair, and had even altered my initially negative view of the man. I think you are blineded by your support for Bush, if we are to play this stupid accusation game. Your insistence that these MASSIVE mistakes were either innocent, or borne from an incompetence of the level demonstrated in recent history strikes me as evidence for my counter charge. In fact, I can't remember the last time the United states invaded another country, killed 10-15,000 people, and set up occupation for the purpose of 'pre-empting' a threat that wholly and completely did NOT exist.
It COULD be, though, that we could get out of the Sandbox, if you were to agree, though.
