So it's no big deal here to say I am not a Bush supporter, never have been, never will be.
I was against this "war" then, and I am only parroting the press who seems to find reason to blame Bush and Blair now. Bush turned the world on it's ear, made threats, rode roughshod over longstanding treaties, alienated more than half our allies, and you're on the defensive for him when the reason we went to "war", appears not to have even existed.
I'm talking about PRE-EMPTIVE war, thousands of innocents dying, American troops who can't wait to get home and get out of the service, DU all over the place and BILLIONS of dollars of taxpayers money out the window to do WHAT?
So we're down to oranges and apples in this debate.
You want me to say he didn't knowingly lie.
And I just can't do it. As far as I'm concerned, war should be ONLY to defend our borders when there is some threat. If Sadam could of threatened Israel, let THEM take care of it.
We have more enemies now than we did two years ago.
It will just take them longer to get better organized.
You might want to email your 20 points to the author of the UK article. I'm sure his address is somewhere on that page. And I appreciate you taking the time to somehow make a case that this war and GWB were somehow justified.
And I just can't bring myself to concede or even agree with you.
With respect, Larry............
