Like the steamroller running over the cat, some films are using this zero casualty mentality that started in TV. The Charlie's Angels TV series was a good example of that format.
I appreciate the removal of gore from films and I appreciate the feelings of those that want no violence whatever. Somehow a thousand machine gun rounds with no casualties doesn't seem to strike the balance they are looking for.
