It's what kept us from acting againts Al-quieda and the Taliban prior to 911. That worked out so well didn't it? We should have bowed to world opinion again and continued ineffectual sanctions for another 10 useless years as France and Russia kept working to weaken them. Yeah that would work.
World opnion is an important consideration but it does not mean We should ignore how self-interest and prejudice impact world opinion and place it above common sense. As alwy you continue to ignore the fact that Saddam's own actions were the greatest evidence he had a WMD program and that UN programs were being stonewalled whenever a serious threat of force was lacking . If Saddam chose to act like he had one when he didn't that is not the fault of the US.
