Is that what you surmise from my remarks? I think you're probably listening to too many right wing talk show hosts.

The reason for factoring in world opinion into the equation is because we're afraid, but because a global consensus on these issues serves our interests better than global dissension. If we haven't got such consensus then we had better build a better case than making up fairy tales about mythical Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

THis has nothing to do wiht "fear." It has everything to do with what works and what doesn't work. And right now what Mr. Bush is doing isn't working.
