MY REPLY: That's the right question to ask. And, of course, the answer is they were attempting a coup by impeaching a President for lying about having an extra-marital affair. After spending millions investigating and reinvestigating Mr. and Mrs Clinton on trumped up cornspiracy claims, the R's finally got something to stick - sex.
At the same time, every effort by the Clinton administration to address terrorism was met with opposition by the same American right-wing hypocrits that now blame him for supposedly not doing anything.
And with regard to the economy and federal deficit, the proof is in the pudding. As soon as the Republicans were able to control Congress and the Presidency, they sent this nation into record deficits and presided over skyrocketing losses of jobs.
