Don't hold your breath
The laws of economics don't work very well if a tyranny is in charge, and it doesn't care how destitute the people are. It has been demonstrated many times over many centuries that a nation that is ruled by an elite using naked, unrestricted force, can persist for years, and with the elite doing quite well. Even the most poverty-stricken people can accumulate enough wealth for a small elite to steal it by force and live in luxury for year after year.
