Jobs and taxes

"We've cut a $3 trillion hole in the budget for the next three years for tax cuts he said were going to create 344,000 jobs each month starting in August, and things are going in the opposite direction,"

So tell me, how many jobs would that $3 trillion* have produced in the hands of our Senators and Congressmen? Productive jobs, that is.

The issues of jobs going overseas, or not being created due to increased productivity on existing jobs, are real ones. Connecting this to tax cuts is inane. Where's the connection? Do you think if businesses were paying higher taxes they would be encouraged to spend more on local employment? If anything, it's the other way around.

"Bush cut taxes." "Employment is down." These are two true statements, but simply saying them together does not make a connection.

And what great plan do the Democrats have to create jobs? Raise the tax burden on businesses? Hello? Anybody out there with a brain?

*I wonder what orifice THAT number got pulled out of? Considering the entire Federal Budget for the next three years runs a total of about 7 trillion dollars, the implication is that somehow we got tax cuts equal to almost half the entire Federal budget. Wow! I must have missed that. Where's my cut?
