re: an ideological argument
Do you honestly think most tax money flows to the rich? That wealth is static? That the wealth of the rich is taken out of the economic system? Are you familiar with the concept of capital at all?
I am at a complete loss at to where to even start with this. Almost every sentence is a complete distortion of the function of government, taxation, and an economic system--and I'm trying to be polite here. Where did you learn economics? "Modern" or otherwise?
By progressive taxation this money goes back to the lower classes who can then buy things so the richer people work harder to get the money back again. This keeps them working which is good for everyone.
