California is a beautiful flower whose petals are wilting and dying on the stalk. Some folks are trying to change the water - but they don't seem to realize the flower's already dead.

If ever there was a state which was royally scr--ed by its politicians, it's California. If ever there was a state that has been scr--ed by national immigration laws and policy, it's California.

Pollution from China and Mexico makes the air cruddy and the beaches verboten sewers. I have in my mind the best aspects of California recorded, yet realize that is the only place it will ever reside from now on - as enjoying California's glory days can now only be done in one's mind.

Flowing freeways, clean beaches, orange groves, safe neighborhoods, blue skies and friendly people working on the cutting edge of the modern world and human civilization.

Ahhh.

Don't wake me, or you'll see the tear in my eye.
