What?!
We are not trying to inconvenience the enemy, Raoul. We are trying to kill the enemy.
This is not Hollywood. This is reality.
The US Militaries are not trained to wound their enemies. We kill them. We even like it best when, in a gun-fight, we draw first, and shoot first. For all intents and purposes, they are already convicted felons, and we are the policing force. If they do not wish to die, then they must lay down their arms, and they, themselves, must lay down in the dirt and await capture.
They know this.
The civilian population, btw, is very much aware of how to proceed around checkpoints, as Hussien had thousands throughout Iraq. If people choose to "play" with the armed forces who are their to "kill the enemy", then they should expect to be shot at, and to know that the aim of these forces will be to kill “themâ€.
