Like the church confronting Galileo, they aren't about to let reality destroy their cosmology, whether it is a bankrupt plan for pacifying an Iraq that was supposed to welcome us as liberators or a bankrupt fiscal plan that was supposed to jolt the economy to health.
Almost 70 percent of Iraqis don't want us out of Iraq, we are supported by the vast majority of Iraqis, and the situation in Iraq is improving (despite the fervent wishes of those hoping for another helicopter-off-the-Saigon-roof moment.)
The U.S. economy is heading upwards at a good clip.
Maybe Bush isn't the one with reality perception problems.
