re: Weapons sales

" I do not know what they consider the "developing world". Are India, S. Korea, Turkey, Greece, and Israel included?"

Good point about "developing world". I don't know, maybe it has something to do with economic growth rate [heard on news last nite that last quarter the US had 6% economic growth- if this continues will that mean the US would be considered a "developing nation"].

"Also, there is no breakdown on types of weapons. US jets are in high demand and is doesn't take many to get into high dollars."

One thing to keep in mind, is that the US would be fairly accurate in reporting it's arms sales. Whereas, you couldn't say the same about France, China, Russia, or other arms exporting countries. And that fact that any individual can buy a MIG, easily and relatively cheap for purposes of ownership and joyrides, makes me think that access to such weapons for various groups or govts is not closely controlled or monitored.
