Keynes invented the idea of running deficits and government spending to stimulate an economy out of a recession. Every government since then has followed this rule. The only question is how to spend the money most efficiently for this stimulus, and the consensus of economists is that Bush's way was the most inefficient and wasteful. That's not to say it wasn't a step, no matter how pathetic in the right direction.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any sillier, now Bush is the inventor of economics. Of course we all know if the next quarter doesn't continue the growth then it won't be Bush's plan any more it'll be Clinton's fault.
