A Presdential Candidate speaking space issues is a political issue.
Dan commented from and American pov that is entirely legitimate.
That it had a negative resonance with European points of view is not surpising, since there is a such a sad divergence between American pursuit of liberation and European insistance on status quo, but that is the sad state we find ourselves in.
I specifically did not insult you in my reply to you and wasin fact specific about the issues you raised.
But your larger point does remain and is in fact correct: this is hollowed ground where we should all be able to meet and discuss what is truly important:
