I think -- think -- that this Ted Rall column is supposed to be some kind of a joke and not, as the hawks would have it, a sincere declaration of solidarity with Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda. A parody of the whole "why we fight" genre or something. If so...it's not what I would call a funny joke and it's not particularly clear that that's what it is. If it's not a joke, it's really quite appalling. Even if it is a joke, it's a pretty appalling one.
