re: Reply to Et and RL from Johannes.

R.L.: You just seem to have a NEED to show how ignorant you are!

I'm not quite sure what my motivation is for posting here, but one thing is for sure, I am learning a lot about the behavior of some people that consider them selves to be educated.
How ignorant am I : I suppose that would depend on the field of endeavor that you are inquiring about, I believe that I understand some areas of theoretical physics and electronics, my ignorance is much higher in other areas, for instance in English language.

Johannes: "1199169832 units of potential energy (or force.)"
R.L.: Force and energy are NOT the same thing- they are TOTALLY different things,

I agree that force and energy are NOT the same thing, in fact I would say that they are not things at all :-)

Sigh......; OK I will explain my understanding of the four words in their fundamental meaning. Please explain where I have made an error and I will try to comprehend your view point.

First the fundamental meaning of the word "unit". A unit in my opinion is any portion of the universe that can be considered as a separate entity, such as an electron, or any individual part of it if it is made up of parts, also entities such as the proton the nucleus, atom, molecule, planet, star, solar system, galaxy, universe, etc. can also be considered as individual "units". The quantity of units may be represented by a number, such as, 1, 2, 3, etc. The dictionary will give more definitions to the word "unit".
The intensity of fundamental effects such as energy and force can also be represented by numbers that can be referenced to the "units" mentioned above, but before the number has any meaning you must understand the meaning of the word that is being represented by the number. For instance in Einstein's formula of E=MC2 the E or energy represents the amount of "units" of vigorous activity that can be used to do work. Or to put it another way, what is being implied by the letter "E" is that the "energy" is kinetic in nature. So the word "energy" used by itself has the fundamental meaning of movement. If we could achieve the impossible and be able to remove all movement both internal and external from some material, then that material would not contain any energy.
The word "potential" refers to something that has not happened yet but can happen in the future. When I use the words "potential" and "energy" one after another I mean that some "vigorous activity" can happen in the future. When I use the word "force" I mean that there exists a tensor field that is able to initiate acceleration of mass. For instance the Earth is surrounded by a tensor field that is able to initiate acceleration to an object that is released from its suspension above the surface. So in my definition the "force" exists before the mass is in motion. Whereas your understanding is that there is no force until there is acceleration. F=MA. This is true if you consider the effect after the event, but it is not true for the "potential".
Perhaps I should add some type of a designation to my definition of the fundamental meaning of the word "force". For instance F0 = CM2.

but ...............deleted and ignored................ what the hell "units" do you refer to? Or are you too ignorant to know what units are?

My ignorance of "hell units" is total, could you describe them to me.:-)

Et.: Why should anyone take you seriously when you betray mathematical incompetence, not to mention almost negative physical understanding, with every sentence.

Johannes.: By the way, the Q field strength for two units of mass is 1199169832 units of potential energy (or force.) According to my calculation anyway.

Et.: Two, units of mass? Kilograms, grams, slugs or what? Units of energy and mass?!? That is a special quantity indeed!

You can use any "unit" that you understand, I am giving you the quantity to use not the convention to use it with. Einstein did tell us that mass can be converted to energy or vice versa.

Units of energy = Joules or Newtons times meters (N*m)
Units of force = kilograms * acceleration(kg*m / s2) or Newtons (N)

Right you are. ;-)

You clearly never took the time to understand the most basic fundamentals.

Above you read my understanding of the "most basic fundamentals" of the words "energy" and "force" if I am in error then plaese let me know where I made the error so that I can correct it.

Science
Science is the only truth and it is the great lie. It knows nothing, and people think it knows everything. It is misrepresented. People think that science is electricity, automobilism, and dirigible balloons. It is something very different. It is life devouring itself. It is the sensibility transformed into intelligence. It is the need to know stifling the need to live. It is the genius of knowledge vivisecting the vital genius.

Patronage
I would rather have as my patron a host of anonymous citizens digging into their own pockets for the price of a book or a magazine than a small body of enlightened and responsible men administering public funds. I would rather chance my personal vision of truth striking home here and there in the chaos of publication that exists than attempt to filter it through a few sets of official, honorably public-spirited scruples
