nuke power is miniscule compared to the energies involved with the VA belts.
Chernobyl contaminated a relatively small area, and even there, life is returning to normal.
Screwing with the VA belt gives us the opportunity to irradiate the entire planet. I think we can pass on that until we understand a LOT more of their function.
