I have, on occasion, gone into the voting booth and deliberately cast no ballot for any candidate running for a particular office, choosing instead to vote for (or against) candidates whose race offers me a plausible choice, and voting on the local and state questions. Another version of the stay-at-home vote.
I'm not alone.
