But I wonder if with a far left Dean running will that discourage the extreem left from going Nader/Green and only inspire them to take the Democratic party farther to the left?

Of course then there's always the Democrat's doomsday senario:

They nominate Dean and he actually wins: And the whole party plunges into a far left oblivion alienating all but the most extreem...
