If you had been following the thread at all, which of course you weren't*, you would have noticed that the argument concerned national sovereignty (which you took another meaningless potshot at elsewhere). I asked whether, based on our cavalier treatment of international law, other nations were justified in interfering with our sovereign right to execute the retarded. (Watch out, you may be next!) Davy Boy replied with an historical reference to the Germans' history, which is, of course, history, especially as most of the people involved are now dead. If it's OK for him to indict 25-year-old Germans based on what people did before they were born, it's perfectly fine for me to indict 50-year-old gasbags for things that Americans did while they (the gasbags) were still mitochondrial suggestions in the land taken from the Sioux.

You are right: I know a different class of 18-year-olds. They think for themselves. Sometimes the thoughts are callow, but many times they aren't. None of them would be impressed by you. It's not that they would necessarily disagree with your ideas, but something else: you have no respect. You haven't got the guts to look at the other side without your goggles on, no, nor listen without your headphones feeding you the constant pounding party line. Points are all that count for you.

*You read just enough of most things -- you can't possibly read and comprehend all the things you link to and get anything done -- to decide that it supports what you already "know", or to find which part of it can be excised, sharpened, and used to misrepresent the opposition, whom you have already decided are incompetant, lying, greedy, self-important morons. This is what 10 years of talk radio has gotten us.
