You guys ARE being paranoid...so I will let loose a little ;-)

..but that's ok.

The depth of the debates here go WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY beyond
any of the right wing shows.

We go deep, deep into the political history of the planet, discuss social guilt-complexes and the failure of education in regards to liberal dogma and you certainly aren't going to hear Rush or talk about the mirror principle, much less feedback or harmonic attraction.

We may fail to make it clear, but liberalism leads to automatic dissatisfaction - because you are always more concerned about others than oneself. Since one can't control other's actions its a philosophy that is doomed to failure from the outset. Not surprisingly, the socialist he--holes like the Russia recast after Bolshevism and collectivists around the world always must try to do exactly that - control others.

All the liberals I know (outside the web and on it) are amazingly unhappy most of the time. They fail to see or understand any conversations we have had together and live in the sweet delusion that their views are somehow morally superior - the curse of all leftists and leftism as a whole. They protest this and complain about that - they tie their happiness to things that they have no control over. They claim it is the conservatives that are trying to be intrusive - but the left really wants to control it all and that's why they are so bent out of shape about it. They want to control big business, control the environment and control children as soon as they enter school.

They think they are doing the right thing - they really do - but they only end up supporting a philosophy that leads to unhappiness and frustration. Leftism leads to unhappiness. How many smiling liberals do you see? Always tense, always uptight. I have to laugh when I watch the embittered, frowning faces of the leftists on television. They are not enjoying life at all! And why? Because they want to control everything! Instead of minding their own business they must protest this, splash dye on that, sit in trees or hug them, denounce something else and all the while cursing and hating all those who don't see their enlightened philosophy!

From a psychological standpoint one could say that they keep projecting their lack of control over their own lives and seek external things to control to make up for it. (Are you going to hear that on a conservative talking head show?)

No, the HZ is fairly unique. It's blend of posters has put together a very comprehensive group of folks that are not all conservative. Frank did a name count one time and it was clear that the place is almost 50/50 liberal/conservative. It just appears more conservative because of Tom's prolific and often pointedly blunt anti-liberal postings.

Tom's not to blame for MA's or Davins or anyone elses unhappiness - nor am I. Neither is Ed, Larry J, Frank or Scott Evil.

No. She is in control of her happiness. I don't give anyone here that remote control to my happiness or emotional well being. No one else should either. I sound like a broken record when I talk about being impersonal. Being impersonal does not mean that one can't be personal - it means one keeps external events from having any personal influence on one's mindset and emotions. It's not being robotic either - it's being intelligent. How wise is it to let others control ones happiness? No. The bottom line is YOU, not your family, not your wife or husband, not your children - YOU control your own happiness.

Once one understands this one can NEVER point the finger at others and say "you make me...mad" or "You make me...sad"

It's a baldface lie.

You steer your own ship.
