Oct 1997 UNSCOM completes the destruction of additional, large quantities of chemical weapons related equipment and precursors chemicals. Iraq had previously denied that part of the equipment had been used for CW production. Only in May 1997, on the basis of UNSCOM's investigations, did Iraq admit that some of the equipment had indeed been used in the production of VX

Do you believe the UN is lying?

Here UNSCOM make a summary of their achievements. Clearly in 1997 before the destruction of the equipment and the chemicals Iraq had a capacity to kill billions by the production of just a few gallons of VX.

This is so conveniently forgotten or flat out denied. Reread the chronology - it's a nice refresher. The rewatch that flash movie about bush and the WMD again - and you'll see how flat it falls, how it's makers prove their ignorance or maliciousness.

You would make a lousy cop Don - you would leave the meth houses standing and the bad guys would just love for it to be you who patrols their turf.

"Aw they aren't up to no good. Just a bunch of kids playing with chemical sets! Leave 'em be!"
