While you are convincing yourself that Saddam had absolutely nothing to do with WMD after the Gulf War, ask yourself this question:

There were several hundred weapons scientists and technicians in Iraq when we kicked Saddam out. Over ten years after you say Saddam gave up on such things. Why?

What were they doing? Who was paying them, and for what?

If there were no programs or plans for the last ten years, why weren't they all working at the local burger joint for a living by now?

Before the war, these scientists were threatened, as were their families, to keep them quiet. Why? And after the war, during interrogations, someone was shooting these scientists to keep them quiet. Why?
