Space/Science » in reply to "New Jamestown" first permanent colony on Mars

It would take a religous movement. Like the quakers, a religous sect on Earth would be seeking a new place for just "them"

It could happen if they were willing to leave some behind to support the "Crusaders": Look at how much money the Scientologists bring in... Is there a secret "cause" that they are collecting $$$ for? Or maybe we are witnessing the birth of a new religous movement led by a guy named Zubrin.

Do the the Zubrins want to spread Zubrinannity to the Cosmos? Do they have visions of builing a shining city on a hill on Mars? Will it be named Zubrin City?
