Perhaps the Russians will build them first.

I wonder what would convince the skeptics that "saucer" or "cigar" shaped flying craft could be made and that these craft could perform maneuvers that seem impossible to today's engineers and scientists?
Suppose that I had drawings and illustrations and the explanations of the scientific principles involved in the operation of such craft. Would that be enough to convince anybody that such craft can work?
Or would I need to make a working model that demonstrates the principle of their operation ?
Or would I need to make a "saucer" or "cigar" shaped craft that could take people to outer space and back safely to convince the skeptics that such machines can operate within the laws of physics?
Or would the skeptics be skeptical even if a multitude of these craft would be built and a space tourism industry would grow around them to thousands of people per year?
AT WHAT POINT WOULD YOUR SKEPTICISM END?
