Your post states the same old fallacy that has been repeated hundreds of times on this board. Not surprising as it's the only nonsense Bush has left for a disastrous policy.
The fallacy is that there is only one way to stimulate an economy, and that no matter if you try and do it by cutting taxes and spending in a different way it comes to exactly the same thing.
This is the nonsense the Bushies have to cling to, if there is a good and less good way to do it then they open themselves up to the charge that they may not have picked the best way to do it. So the usual answer is that all tax cuts are the same in effect and all spending increases are exactly the same in terms of stimulating the economy in a recession.
The problem with this is that virtually the whole science of economics say this is rubbish, and there are good ways to stimulate it and other ways which just waste the money and provide very little stimulus.
So the question comes down to fantasy or reality. If people admit there is a difference between a good policy and a bad one then the argument can go somewhere.

- Then the Bush people come in. And in two and a half years they trash the place. They trash the place deliberately. They trash the place casually. They trash the place gleefully.
- Thank goodness. The Clinton and Leftist Policies Had Made the USA a Farce. (n/t)

- Just wondering Greg, what economic stimulus package would you suggest- that wouldn't raise the deficit?
- Thanks. I hadn't heard any clintonista rewrites of history in a day or so. (n/t)
