Sorry, that's classified as well.

It's a self-propelling catch-22, and the only way around it is to face the expected charges. Those with what they consider to be a just cause are free to give it a shot, but I don't need the martyrdom whining when it come around to bite them in the tail.

What about biological warfare experiments conducted on humans by US Government agencies?

Definitely bad stuff, and the revelation of the crime was inevitable via medical records, both in and out of military/government hands. Investigations were inevitable.

I can't help but think that hiding inhumane behavior behind the letter of the law, and refusing to look for it because looking is illegal, corrupts both the law and our humanity.

I disagree. We're only as bad as we are. The trouble stems from the fact that those in power take on a certain element of godhood, in both mind and manner. Eventually, though, i think the corrupt are generally found and revealed.

Some "need to know" information needs to be known.

By definition, Mary Anne, all "need to know" information needs to be known, simply because it "needs" to be known. Lindy, however, seems to believe that all hidden information needs to become unhidden, and this is not only simply untrue, it would become an open doorway for national -- and international -- disaster.
