I'm talking about the MILLIONS of things we classify every year that probably only amount to "cover-ups" ...
"Millions." For this to be so, you would need to know. You do not, therefore you assume.
Tell me, Lindy. Who, in your infinite wisdom, is to decide what is to be classified, and what is not?
* An impartial committee? Won't work.
* An in-house committee? That's who does it now, people who actually know what's what in national security.
... and how Bush sealed his father's records, etc...so that nobody could go back and cross check new developments.
So? And this is important to -- which future best seller?
And speaking for myself here, I still find it amazing our net of "intelligence" couldn't have stopped the pilots from pulling off 9/11.
And I am honestly amazed that you are amazed. I thought you were a lot smarter than that. Have you read nothing of the reports that have been unearthed since 9/11? The agencies were (and still are) understaffed, and were generally unable to communicate with each other to verify sources.
Get with it already.
The FAA was calling the FBI for Chrissakes! The head of the FBI at the Minneapolis office AND the FAA were requesting legal access to Moussai's computer and were repeatedly turned down by an FBI head in WASHINGTON. And that agent got a promotion. He didn't get fired, suspended or even questioned.
In other words, the purported "FBI head in WASHINGTON" (who was not an "agent", but was an "officer") was following procedure, and you cannot seem to fathom that when you do your job correctly you should get -- promoted?
No, Lindy, all things in the world are not black and white, and not all data should, or ever will be, released to public scrutiny.
Deal with it,
Dan
