Could someone explain to me what ' wardrobe malfunction' is????

I heard that phrase used a lot in the past three days.
Could someone explain it to me?
I know NASA astronauts are quick to let mission-control
know when they have a 'malfunction'.
But I can't see Jim Lowell tell NASA mission-control from
Apollo 13, "Houston! We have a wardrobe malfunction!
My thermal layers have experienced an anomoly."
