Forget Transhab on the Moon
Make a Super MoonHab. Send a few tractors with the astronauts and dig a big hole (maybe start with an existing crater), then put huge inflatable connectable structures totaling the size of a soccer field in it and cover it all with lunar regolith for radiation shielding. Presto: you have an underground lunar facility capable of sheltering dozens of visitors! There would be private quarters, science labs, engineering facilities, lunar rover garages, administration offices, recreation areas, etc. Domes could eventually be built.
The huge inflatable buried base idea was brainstormed in Europe a year or two ago in some university students challenge thing. Sorry I'm a bit fuzy on the details.
