What a glorious place:
The world's biggest statue.
The world's largest, per capita, full-time military.
The world's lowest standard of living
The world's most repressive régime.
The world's most corrupt government.
The world's highest mortality rate.
The world's lowest consumer of food per capita.
The world's highest mortality rate? According to the CIA Facts Book, in 2003, North Korea had an est. 6.93 deaths/1000 population and 25.66 infant deaths per 1000 live births.
In comparison, in 2003, Haiti had an est. 13.36 deaths/1000 population and 76.01 infant deaths per 1000 live births.
In 2003, South Africa had an est. 18.42 deaths/1000 population and 60.84 infant deaths per 1000 live births.
The question then is: do you have a credible source(s) for your assertions or (like many conservatives) do you simply pull "facts" out of your rear?

- Please tell me how the deaths by starvation of hundreds of thousands of persons per year is compatible with a mortaility rate of 6.93/1000 population.
- I don't know. Is the CIA fact book a good source?
