At least that's the conclusion being drawn by parts of the blogosphere.

Fired by Kerry, hired by Clark. A world-famous Democratic campaign attack weasel, responsible for the Bush DUI release prior to the 2000 election, and one of Gore's generals in the recount campaign in Florida. Called Katherine Harris a "commissar."

This would be just his style.
