"The mainstream media wants Bush to lose this election. As the year goes on, they aren't even going to be pretending any more. "
Probably right. But it could be the media sees Bush as important/significant or man bites dog- interesting. Whereas everyone knows Kerry flip flops around and just the opposite: insignificant and dog bites man. And what about the parents of woman who Kerry screwed & then shipped to Africa. They say Kerry is a sleazeball, but then they say they are going to vote for him. If the parents or the woman don't care about Kerry's behavior, why would other Dem who are even less involved in this issue, care about it? In other words, real issues aren't as important as the show. In this view, there is nothing wrong with pretending you are throwing your war medals away- it's just like any thing you see on TV. You don't expect the actors to actually use real bullets, do you? The Dems are in a fantasy world, so they don't want to be interrupted by reality.
