Current Events » in reply to So you think it is OK to call President Bush a fascist because he isn't a democrat?

How could I possibly stick words in your mouth when both your feet are taking up all the space in there?

You said that it's OK, because other people are doing things you consider equivalent. That's what you said.

I don't give a rat's patoot whether Bush ever showed up for anything having remotely to do with his National Guard service. I do care that his family used their political influence to get him into the Texas Air National Guard in spite of the fact that he was not qualified to be there, and that he himself has said, "I was not prepared to shoot my eardrum out with a shotgun in order to get a deferment. Nor was I willing to go to Canada. So I chose to better myself by learning how to fly airplanes." Call it legal service, but don't call it noble and heroic, because it isn't.

The Patriot Act is a dangerous piece of law. The public doesn't really know whether or not it's been used because there's a gag order that forbids people who witness Federal agents acting under its provisions from speaking up. It's a felony to talk about it to anyone, for which people can be sent to jail for years, and yes, you guessed it, no one is allowed to talk about that either. We are told that it hasn't been used; we have Attorney General Ashcroft's word for it. Yeah. If I want to know about the henhouse, I'd rather hear it from the hens than from the fox.

It's OK for a blonde with a big mouth and poor research skills to make fun of a man who lost three limbs to a grenade and served honorably in the United States Senate. After all, she's a Republican and she has great legs. Which are nowhere near her explosive mouth, or they would have been blown off by now when it accidently goes off.
