>Carl Jung - "The center of all iniquity is invariably found to lie a few miles behind the enemy lines. Because the individual has this same primitive psychology, every attempt to bring these age-old projections to consiciousness is felt as irritating. Naturally one would like to have better relations with one's fellows, but only on the condition that they live up to our expectations - - - "
What this esoteric nonsense has to do with the ongoing wanton murder of human beings, is beyond me, and probably beyond anyone actually rooted in day-to-day physical reality. ..It's easy enough to spout this stuff from one's own comfort zone. What about in the streets of Jerusalem? - or for that matter lower Manhattan?
I don't know 'what Americans do' regarding dirty fighting - you can slug that one out with Tom or other heavyweights. What *I* am saying is: don't deny the right of a society to defend itself from terrorism. Simple.
>Then you have to kill everyone who liked them, and now don't like you.
>THose folks had people who liked THEM, and now they don't like you, >so ya gotta kill 'em.
>(And their kids, too. They'll just grow up with a resentment, ya >wouldn't want that laying in the weeds, so to speak.)
>It's simple. Just keep following the Israeli example. See how well it >works?
>After another generation there will be no Palestinian problem.
But there IS still a "Palestinian problem' ! So what IS this "Israeli example'? What inflammatory rubbish.
I used to be pro-Palestinian - in my own mind, pro-justice - and I still acknowledge (possibly even major) injustices perpetrated by the Israelis.
However, I TOTALLY support their fight against vicious terrorism, as I do the US. That has nothing to do with how wrong they might be on other issues. I applaud whenever I hear about a 'militant' (what a ridiculous name for a terrorist) being knocked off.
Now, Bowser, for 'propaganda': The "Jenin Massacre" has been discredited, and shown to be a pack of Palestinian 'militant' lies. By whom, you might ask? - by the UN Human Rights Watch group, by Amnesty International .. and apparently even acknowledged as such by the PLO itself! Israel went into that scorpion's nest to clear it out of known terrorists. Good on them. The 'massacre' never took place.
This whole issue is getting my blood pressure up. I am sick and tired of hearing the words 'killed' or 'body parts' every time I switch on the radio.

- stopping the bombers
- We must ensure that suicide bombers are driving safe cars (n/t)
- On the other hand, what started the Sepoy Mutiny in India? Three guesses. (n/t)
- You gotta kill everyone who doesn't like you.
- re: stopping the bombers
- Pretty unlikely to work at all. Instead, we must continue what we have been doing:
- P.S. Is it true that most of the suicide bombers had a history of sex abuse?
- I like the Bush plan: Kill the terrorists before they kill you. And kill them where they live.
