re: "Soft" manuals
Manuals are typically either installed in the computer now, or on CDs if they're not online.]
I like manuals for things like AutoCAD and Solidworks to be nice, thick books with color pictures and lots of examples. That I can highlight, and stick bookmark Post-its in. I'm old fashioned that way.
That was my point Tom.
Look, I like most of my stuff for reference on disc, it’s easier, for me at least, to work with. And it’s a damned sight easier to lug around.
But, for crying out loud, when you can’t use the damned computer, how the hell are you supposed to look up what you need to stomp on the gremlins?
Another example of the increasing loss of common sense. Fits right in with MSN's new direction, it's optimised for broadband, not a bad idea. But at last count, only 39% of net users had broadband connections. (I damned sure don't at home, or work.)
