I saw a website (can't find it now) from someone who seemed to be an anomalist that first pointed out this "bunny" shape. He was all excited because it seemed to be something that was "dropped" on the surface, and by comparing two photos, he declared that it had moved! He got an awful lot of grief for this.
Now we see that the "bunny" was apparently some spacecraft chunk that was a) dropped on the surface, and b) moves with the wind. Well, whaddaya know.
While anomalists, to one degree or another, generally are missing at least a few marbles, they perform a valuable service by utilizing their lack of lives to scrutinize the living hell out of every picture that NASA puts out. That they often see things that aren't there goes without saying. The "bunny" was probably a piece of cloth. It was not a leaping space crustacean, one theory that popped up on the anomalist site. Keep your common-sense filter up, and there's no problem. But if anyone ever does spot a fossil in a rover photo someday, I would lay at least even odds that it's going to be one of the nutballs who flags it first.
I got a lot of grief for this position a while back. ;)
