GWB & Co. thought we'd walk in there, be greeted as saviors, and everyone would live happily ever after!! Including Rumsfeld, who said he "didn't do quagmires".

I remember watching Cheney saying that things were so bad in Iraq that all it would take is a show by the US and they would rise up against Saddam.

Nope, it won't fly that the US saw this coming. Oh, I'll admit, there were a lot of people against the aggression who saw it coming, saw that Iraqis would be killing Iraqis, saw that Iraqis would be killing Americans, saw general turmoil.

But not GWB & Co. Not Rumsfeld's Pentagon. Not until very recently.

Or, they lied. Again. I guess both is true.
