is to keep my mouth shut, which I have been doing a lot lately and will continue to do for the most part. Not that the local opinion of me is worth anymore than mine of them. It is just not worth the aggravation in this unimportant venue.

I disagree with you and the other liberals on this board passionately. I can't seem to express that disagreement without being branded as somehow offensive. Understandable, since I find many of them somewhat offensive, but not despicable.

All the talk about oil and Bush is just politics as usual and a gross oversimplification. It is more about those who think this is a police matter and those who believe it is a war with unrelenting radicals. We are not overwhelmed and there is no reason to kiss ass. That is the point.

Regardless of who wins the next election and regardless of the government we live under, socialist or fascist, we will eventually fight terrorism like we are doing at present or in a much more horrendous way. The enemy sets the tone of the struggle and the tone is violent and uncompromising.

I salute you and all the others who will choose to defend themselves when the epiphany comes, as for the rest, it's a Darwin thing I suppose. They will be mourned along with the innocents.
