I really don't think Rob's view of economics and taxes has changed fundamentally, let alone become radical. It's only recently that acknowledging mathematical realities has become unacceptable on the "right". His posts seem to me to have been a commentary on present-day reality, and he's not mucking about with ideology.
What we mean by "right" has become a moving (ever right-ward) target these days. I guess you must have long ago set yourself the goal of defending everything to come along wrapped in the "conservative" label. But it's not really your fault that the "right" has become so genuinely insane on the subject of taxes that you sound like a madman yourself when you try to defend anti-tax extremism. Rob's not being mean when he said he couldn't make it halfway through your post, that was a literary review. I said the same thing, for the same reason. I'm not saying it to be mean either. I'm telling you, seriously, your rants are losing coherence. Your rhetorical skills are being stretched to the breaking point defending the indefensible. Save yourself before it's too late!
