The money for this Peter/Paul gag has to come from somewhere.

A) If it comes from the producers you're trying to support, it doesn't work. See the bucket/hose analogy.

B) If it comes from printed or borrowed money, with the resulting destruction of the value of the dollar, it doesn't work either.
